Warhounds Golf for Good Cause

GAYLORD, Mich. — The Northern Michigan Warhounds were proud to take part in this year's Toys for Tots Christmas in July Golf Outing, joining local businesses, volunteers, and community members for a day dedicated to ensuring children throughout Northern Michigan experience the joy of Christmas.

Warhounds players, members of the ownership group, and mascot Howler spent the day connecting with golfers, thanking supporters, and representing the organization alongside dozens of other community partners. Events like these reflect the Warhounds' commitment to being more than just a hockey team—they are an active part of the communities they proudly represent.

This year's outing was another tremendous success, bringing together 144 golfers, an incredible lineup of sponsors, and generous donations from individuals and businesses for the silent auction. Every dollar raised will help fund this year's Toys for Tots campaign, ensuring local children wake up to presents under the tree this Christmas.

A special thank you goes out to Santa Mike, Collette, and the many volunteers who dedicated countless hours to organizing the event. Their passion and commitment continue to make a lasting difference for families throughout Northern Michigan.

The Warhounds also extend their appreciation to the outstanding team at Michaywé Pines Golf Course for hosting another first-class tournament. The course was in fantastic condition, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure every golfer had an enjoyable experience from start to finish. Following the round, Inn the Woods Restaurant provided an excellent meal and outstanding hospitality, making for the perfect finish to a great day on the course.

One of the day's biggest attractions was seeing Howler out on the course greeting golfers, taking photos with families, and helping spread smiles throughout the event. Alongside our players and ownership group, it was another opportunity to strengthen relationships within the community and support an organization that has given so much to local families.
