Northern Michigan Warhounds Extend Head Coach Joshua Parisio

GAYLORD, Mich. — The Northern Michigan Warhounds are proud to announce that Head Coach Joshua Parisio has signed an extension and will return behind the bench for the upcoming season.

Parisio has led the organization to the playoffs in each of the past two seasons. Both postseason runs ended against the team that ultimately captured the league championship, showing just how close the Warhounds have come while fueling their determination to take the next step.

Under Parisio’s leadership, the Warhounds have continued to improve each season. The organization has strengthened its roster by recruiting high-quality players who bring talent, experience and character to Northern Michigan. Just as importantly, Parisio has helped establish a strong, team-first culture built around accountability, hard work and the Pack Mentality.

“We are extremely excited to have Josh back leading this team,” said Warhounds owner Andrew Dibble. “He understands who we are, what we expect and what we are working to build. Two years in a row, he has taken us to the playoffs, and both times our season ended against the team that went on to win the championship. That shows how close we are, but it also keeps us hungry.”

Dibble also credited the entire coaching staff for helping move the organization forward.

“Josh has surrounded himself with a high-quality coaching staff that shares his commitment to our players and this organization,” Dibble continued. “They bring knowledge, leadership and passion to the rink every day. Together, they are helping us recruit high-quality players, protect the culture inside our locker room and build something special for Gaylord and all of Northern Michigan.”

The decision to extend Parisio provides important continuity as the Warhounds prepare for another season at The Den. With the core of the organization continuing to grow and another talented group of players being assembled, expectations remain high.

For the Warhounds, reaching the playoffs is no longer the final goal. The focus is on learning from the past two postseason appearances, continuing to raise the standard and competing for a championship.

Every season, the Pack gets stronger. With Coach Parisio returning to lead the way, the Warhounds are ready to continue the hunt.
