WARHOUNDS ANNOUNCE SLEW OF SIGNINGS FOLLOWING SUCCESSFUL TRAINING CAMP
Gaylord, MI — The Northern Michigan Warhounds came out of this past weekend’s training camp with one clear takeaway: the roster is beginning to take shape, and the competition for a sweater is heating up. After three days of high-tempo practices, fitness testing, and inter-squad scrimmages, the Warhounds announced a wave of signings that will bring both speed and grit to the 2025–26 lineup.
“Camp was exactly what we wanted it to be—intense, competitive, and full of surprises,” said Warhounds Head Coach Josh Parisio “We had players pushing each other shift after shift, and a lot of them left us no choice but to give them a contract.”
Among the standouts were several local products who impressed with their skill, hustle, and familiarity with Northern Michigan hockey. The Warhounds also inked talent from across the Midwest and beyond, including a mix of forwards known for their scoring touch, defensemen who thrive in the corners, and goaltenders ready to shut the door.
Coach Parisio praised not only the on-ice performance but also the character of the group:
“We’re not just signing hockey players—we’re signing people who fit the Warhounds identity. We want speed, we want toughness, but most importantly, we want guys who understand what it means to play for this community. These signings are the foundation of a team our fans will be proud to cheer for every night.”
The weekend scrimmage drew an enthusiastic crowd, giving Gaylord hockey fans an early taste of the energy that will hit the Otsego County Sportsplex this fall. The Warhounds are set to open their home season Oct 25, and with the roster growing deeper by the day, anticipation continues to build.
The organization is expected to announce more signings in the coming days as final roster decisions are made. Fans can follow the Warhounds on social media and at www.nomiwarhounds.com for all the latest updates, ticket information, and community events.
