Northern Michigan Warhounds Name Joshua Parisio as Head Coach

Gaylord, MI – July 5, 2025

The Northern Michigan Warhounds are proud to announce the official hiring of Joshua Parisio as the team’s new Head Coach ahead of the upcoming season.

Coach Parisio is no stranger to the Warhounds organization, having stepped behind the bench late last season and leading the team through an inspired playoff push. Under his guidance, the Warhounds displayed grit, unity, and resilience, going toe-to-toe with top-tier teams in the American Premier Hockey League (APHL) and proving they belonged in the postseason spotlight.

Parisio brings a plethora of coaching knowledge and experience, combined with a leadership style that resonates deeply with players. Known for his calm presence, tactical mind, and ability to connect with his roster on and off the ice, Coach Parisio has quickly earned the trust and respect of the locker room.

“Coach Parisio is the kind of leader every team hopes for,” said Owner Andrew Dibble. “He inspires confidence, brings structure and passion to the game, and truly believes in developing players as athletes and as young men. He’s earned this role, and we’re excited to have him lead the pack.”

The Warhounds are entering the season with high expectations and a sense of unfinished business. With Coach Parisio at the helm, the organization believes the foundation is set for a deep playoff run—and ultimately, a championship chase.

Fans can expect a competitive, hard-working, and disciplined Warhounds team this season—one that embodies the identity of its new head coach: focused, fearless, and ready for battle.
